The Trivial Pursuit of Happiness

Plant the seeds of love, and watch your garden grow.

No time for a real post today, since we forgot Pam’s birthday and I had to create something to make up for the fact that we suck.

I’ve never made anything like it before, so for a first try I am happy with it. I only had a few hours before we were meeting for dinner, and my machine crapped out near the end but she loved it, so I feel a little better. Looking at the pictures now, I see at least 5 things I would have changed, but that is the nice thing about making things quickly and giving them away - you don’t have time to obsess.

Random baby update: I had 3 people today tell me I have dropped, which may explain the pulled muscle feel of the sore spot I still have. Whatever it is, I’m sick of it. At yoga yesterday someone also suggested that it may be Cricket’s head (which tends to be more tender), to which I said “NO.” because I am not even entertaining that possibility. YOU ARE HEAD DOWN CRICKET.

And just so that you have somewhere to go from here, a couple fun links:

Find the best deals on Amazon (Holy wow on the book and baby deals. I… need to lose my credit card.)

Stuff you didn’t know. How I survived without knowing the longest single syllable word in the English language this long, I’ll never know.

Now that you mention it I have the distinct memory of feeling bruised like that in the upper right of my uterus about two weeks before Ella was born, around the time people started saying I had dropped. Maybe Cricket has dropped and therefore a foot is poking you in a new/different way, thus causing the discomfort? A lot of people complain of feet under their ribs in the last weeks of pregnancy, but Ella’s were never under my ribs, just very painfully in FRONT of my ribs somehow and trying to poke out through my skin. :)

And they were definitely her feet!
